A Study Of Relationship Among Shyness,Sexual Attitude And Mental Problem Of Opposite Sex Company Of Senior High School Students And Intervention Of Shyness

This study adopts the Shyness Scale,Attitude Toward Sexuality Scale and Adolescent Mental Problem of Opposite Sex Company Scale and selects 659 students from Dongshan Senior High School in Zhangzhou city to investigate development characteristics of shyness,sexual attitude and mental problem of opposite sex company in terms of gender,ground source,the only child,grade and parents’ cultural level.It explores the relationships among shyness,sexual attitude and mental problem of opposite sex company of the senior high school students.And it also discusses the influence of group counseling on shyness of senior high school students.The results are as follows:1.Senior high school students’ shyness have significant differences in their ground source,whether they are only children,and their parents’ cultural level.There is also no significant difference in gender and grade among students.Senior high school students’ sexual attitude have significant differences in gender,ground source,whether they are only children,and father’ cultural level.It have no significant difference in grade and mother’s cultural level.2.The students’ mental problems of opposite sex company are generally at a low level.The severity of each dimension is the cower personality,company misguiding,over defense,and crankiness in turn,and the comparison of each factor: standard misguiding>over shy>gloomy>suspicious>self-contempt>indifferent>cower>incorrect behavior ways>over concentrating on the opposite sex>envy>hostility>function misguiding>incorrect outside motives>incorrect inside motives>assaulting>the misguiding on choosing friends.It have significant differences in gender,ground resource.In addition,mental problem of opposite sex company and its various dimensions all have no significant difference in grade and whether they are only children.3.There are significant correlations between shyness,sexual attitude and mental problem of opposite sex company.Among which,there is a significant positive correlation between shyness and mental problem of opposite sex company,cower personality,over defense,and crankiness.Shyness is significantly negatively correlated with sexual attitude.Sexual attitude is positively correlated with mental problem of opposite sex company,company misguiding,and over defense.Shyness have masking effects between sexual attitude and mental problem of opposite sex company,cower personality,company misguiding,over defense.4.The short-term group counseling can significantly reduce the shyness of senior high school students and group counseling is an effective tool to interfere with high school students’ shyness.From the quantitative data,the short-term intervention has no significant effect on the mental problem of the opposite sex and its various dimensions,but from the analysis of interview,the short-term intervention has a certain impact on the mental problem of the opposite sex.
