This thesis studied the traditional culture and education of Japan by taking the curriculum "Japanese Tradition and Culture" of Tokyo Prefecture school.The aim is to further analyze the purpose of the "Japanese Tradition and Culture" curriculum set up in Tokyo Prefecture school,and to interpret and analyze the teaching contents,teaching methods,and the characteristics of the curriculum.It can make us inspired by Japanese traditions,culture and education,and it is expected to improve the traditional and cultural related curriculum in China's education curriculum system.This thesis analyzed and studied Japanese tradition,culture and education from the microscopic point of view through the literature research method.The purpose of this curriculum is mainly to promote national pride,strengthen international exchanges,and lay the foundation for the Japanese economy to go global.The teaching content contains three parts:the basic unit,the experience-creation unit,and the new culture unit,and they are as the four levels of connotation to explain the "soul of Japanese people","on dressing,dietary and accommodation","on art and artistic skills" and "on inheritance of conservation and restoration".The teaching methods include such three kinds,they are basic understanding and experiential learning,integration of recessive education and practical education,and trinity of region,family,and school,reflecting all-round and multi-level education ideology.Focusing on the purpose,content,and methods of the curriculum to analyze the settings of the curriculum has characteristics of pertinence,pupose,flexibility,and richness,etc.The successful experience of the curriculum is worthy of our country's learning and using for reference.It provided a feasible reference for the construction and improvement of our country's traditional culture education curriculum system,and the problems it showed are also the lessons we should learn from in promoting traditional culture education.
