An Analysis Of Deng Yizhe’s Art Thoughts

Deng Yizhe is one of the great builders of Chinese modern art theory.He is both a famous modern aesthetician and an outstanding art educator.He made great achievements with his artistic thoughts combined with Chinese and Western cultures,which had a profound impact on the construction of the theoretical system of modern Chinese art.At present,the study of Deng Yizhe’s artistic thoughts in academic circles is relatively deficient and scattered.In this paper,Deng Yizhe’s artistic thoughts are taken as the research object.Besides,Chinese and Western cultural origins and basic connotations of Deng Yizhe’s artistic thoughts are discussed.This article takes Deng Yizhe’s artistic thought as the research object,and is divided into four chapters.It will systematically sort out and analyze the origin,main connotation and contemporary inspiration.The first chapter is the introduction,focusing on the research status of Deng Yizhe’s artistic thoughts.The purpose and significance of this study,the emphasis,difficulty and method of research,the problems to be solved and the research methods are proposed in this chapter.In the second chapter,a systematic analysis of the origin of Deng Yizhe’s artistic thoughts is carried out.Under the background of the dual cultural thoughts of China and the West,the formation and development of Deng Yizhe’s artistic thoughts also have distinctive Chinese and Western cultural characteristics.Deng Yizhe,who has a strong homeland sentiment,accepted the culture of traditional culture and Taoist philosophy at an early stage,and later accepted the influence of Hegel’s "ideology theory" philosophical thought and Croce’s "expression theory" philosophical thought.In the third chapter,the basic connotation of Deng Yizhe’s artistic thoughts is summarized and refined.His basic perspectives on the three aspects of artistic idealism,artistic expression theory and artistic value theory are illustrated.Deng Yizhe’s art idealism emphasizes that artistic works must have substantial spiritual content.First,the concept of “environmental situations” should be advocated,the “combination of nature and life” should be emphasized at the same time.The second idealism is advocating "the people’s view of art" which is based on the premise of "free and autonomous work".The theory of artistic expression advocates that artistic expression is based on “natural disposition and intelligence” as the object,and that it is a result of “vital and lively rhythm”.It is characterized by the unity of shape and spirit.The theory of art value emphasizes that art has a purifying and creating value for life,and art purifies people’s temperament,molds personality,and realizes ideal life with the characteristics of “scrubbing excreting” “enhancing” and “pottery melting”.The fourth chapter focuses on the contemporary inspiration of Deng Yizhe’s artistic thought.Deng Yizhe proposed that art is the free expression of the soul,artistic creation is the creation of "the creation of natural temperament and wisdom",and artistic education is the perspective of personality education,which has a profound guiding significance for contemporary art practice and life practice.
