| The court painting during the Song Dynasty enjoys great significance in the history of Chinese painting.Among the court painters of the Southern Song Dynasty,Li Song was one of the most important figures.With his delicate painting skills,Li Song used to be entitled “the Daizhao of the Imperial Painting Academy” by three emperors successively.The themes of his extant works include human figures,landscapes,flowers and birds.Taking Li Song’s Flower Bouquet as a starting point,this article compares the three drawings of Flower Bouquet,i.e.the “Spring Blossoms”(collected in Japan),the “Summer Blossoms” in the Palace Museum,and the “Winter Blossoms” in the National Palace Museum.Starting from the practical perspective and literature review,this article strives to elaborate the historical background,painting techniques,and other things related to Flower Bouquet.In addition,by comparing the three drawings of Flower Bouquet by Li Song and those by other painters of Song Dynasty through image and version analysis,this article will further propose a theory of the existence of the “Autumn Blossoms” of Flower Bouquet drawn by Li Song. |
