The most basic attribute of a documentary is authenticity.Authenticity is the soul of a documentary.Authenticity has many meanings.The "authenticity" here actually refers to the fact that the documentary shows a close to reality in real life.This kind of display is objective and real.The authenticity of the documentary is "derived from life",including the truth of the content and the truth of the event.However,if the documentary is merely a copy and copy of real life,the documentary will be dull and boring.The audience is more like the kind of works that contain some interesting emotions.The audience should not only see the original life when watching the documentary,but also want to gain something different from life and produce an emotional resonance.This requires documentary works to be artistically reprocessed on the basis of the true record of life.This thesis mainly explores the authenticity and artistry of documentary creation,and makes a detailed analysis based on the graduation work “Fishing Boat”.In the author's thesis,the research on the authenticity of the documentary creation is divided into three aspects: the authenticity of the commentary,the authenticity of the characters,and the authenticity of the narrative.The artistic methods in documentary film creation use images,montages,etc.The integration of authenticity and artistry is mainly based on the analysis of the relationship between the two.
