| In contrast to traditional research on second language(L2)motivation,this article take a questionnaire survey and semi-structured interview for Chinese learning motivation from students of Southeast Asia,and then analyzing the learning motivation by use of the human capital theory,searching the principle of human capital investment theory hidden in Chinese learning motivation.It has been discovered that Second Language Acquisition which is based on the human capital perspective is no longer a pure language learning,it is transformed into a human capital investment which driven by economic interests and individual spirit demand.This kind of language learning is different from traditional language learning,because the limitation of language and cultural identity had been weakened,and learners only need to follow the economic logic.This investmental learning behavior has shaped a unique way of language learning:it does not need the best "acquisition",only pursuit of the best"interests".This paper is divided into six parts,the arrangement is as follows:The introduction is the first part.This part introduces the background knowledge of this research and the existing research results,the main research content and research significance and purpose of this paper.Chapter 1 is the second part,which mainly discusses the basic principles of language human capital investment.This chapter begins with the traditional views of language study,introduces the language view in the economic framework in detail,and summarizes the human capital properities of language.Through the detailed analysis of the language of human capital,this paper expounds the possibility of studying the second language learning motivation from the perspective of human capital,and finally elaborates the main analytical framework of language skills investment.Chapter 2 is the third part,which mainly introduces the implementation process of questionnaire survey.This chapter describes the design steps and data sources of the questionnaire in detail,and carries out detailed statistics and definitions of the questionnaire variables.Finally,the reliability and validity of the questionnaire are established.Chapter 3 and 4 are the fourth part,which mainly analyzes the survey results.Chapter 3 mainly deal with descriptive statistical analysis and factor analysis of the results,and Chapter 4 studies the relationship between individual micro-characteristic and learning motivation.Chapter 5 is the fifth part,using personal interview case studies to verify the results of the questionnaire,and further understanding other relevant content.The conclusion is the sixth part,mainly reviews and summarizes the research of this paper,points out shortcomings of this paper,and puts forward the follow-up research expectation. |
