The Report Of The Director Of The Worms

The short film "Worms" tells the story about a pregnant woman named Xiaomei,who heard her friends’ marriages have been broken due to derailment.Then she suspected her husband is also to be derailed.Lots of things she did to save her family,and eventually she guarded their merriage.A linear narrative discourse is using in the film,and Xiaomei’s sensitivity to sound is the narrative clue in the story.The film tends to a melancholy theme,mainly by using tone changes and sounds to express the style of the story.This article tries to analyze and explain the "Worms" objectively by four perspectives,including the origin of my conception,the process of the script creation,the process of the visual presentation,and the reflection and inspiration from my work.According to the living conditions of pregnant women in today ’ s society,besides the rise of family ethical TV plays and the creation of literary fictions,I make the relationship of couples during pregnancy as the theme of my film.I use the repetition narrative and sound narrative strategies,and the multi-angle scenes technique to construing a suspiciously and sensitive character of pregnant women,which reflects a problem of trust in today’s fickle society and calls for the establishment of a harmonious relationship between husband and wife.
