| Ouyang Xiu and Liu Yong were both famous euphemisms in the early period of the Northern Song Dynasty,although they were in the opposite of the two groups,their lyrics has obvious differences,and there is also a place where they can meet each other and have the value and conditions of comparative study.Based on the text,this article comprehensively adopts the literature research method and the comparative study method.It divides the lyrics of Ouyang Xiu and Liu Yong into the elegant lyrics and the popular lyrics for a comparative study and explores the reasons.Then the perspective of the lyrics in the early period of the Northern Song Dynasty is revealed.The exordium introduces the background,research status and research plan of this paper.In the first chapter,taking into account the subject matter and content of the lyrics,their elegant lyrics are classified as elegant romance lyrics,social customs lyrics,recollections of life feelings lyrics,chant lyrics about tangible objects and remembrance of ancient times.In the second chapter,their popular lyrics are classified as gingerbready lyrics and humorous lyrics for comparative study.In the third chapter,the author analyzes the causes of the similarities and differences between Ouyang Xiu and Liu Yong from their identity and experience,personality,aesthetic taste,the influence of the characteristics of the genre of lyrics and the opposition and blend between the elegant and popular culture.Ouyang Xiu and Liu Yong had similar ups and downs in life,but after several ups and downs,Ouyang Xiu finally became famous,but Liu Yong was always sinking under the river and finally died in a bleak way.Ouyang Xiu is a decent gentleman,Liu Yong is a romantic prodigal son,different personality,but are all sentimental literati.As a scholar-bureaucrat,Ouyang Xiu take elegance as beauty.Liu Yong is close to public esthetic,regard vulgarity as beauty.However as the literati living in the secular world,their aesthetic tastes are both the elegance and the vulgar.Literati lyrics and folk lyrics have been the epitome of opposites and communion between the elegant and popular culture in the process of the development of the lyrics.Lyrics are written for sing,taking vulgarity and feminine softness as beauty.The lyrics of Ouyang Xiu and Liu Yong was influenced by thecharacteristics of the genre of lyrics,and it also permeated the opposition and blend between the elegant and popular culture.Therefore,their lyrics are euphemisms which are graceful and flamboyant.At the same time,Ouyang Xiu’s lyrics are mostly literati lyrics,which are mainly elegant;while Liu Yong’s lyrics are mostly close to folk lyrics,which are mainly popular.In conclusion,this paper concludes: Ouyang Xiu and Liu Yong lived in the same period,Ouyang Xiu’s lyrics are famous for its elegant while Liu Yong’s lyrics are famous for its popular.However,their lyrics are both elegant and popular,and they have unique skill in choosing the focus between elegance and popular and handling their relationship.Their lyrics provide useful lessons for future generations in the processing of elegant and popular relationships.They have made important contributions to the development of Song lyrics and have an important position in the history of lyrics.Through the comparative study of the lyrics of Ouyang Xiu and Liu Yong,the characteristics of them are more obvious.In addition,it can be seen that the relationship between the elegant lyrics school of scholar-bureaucrat represented by Ouyang Xiu and the popular lyrics school represented by Liu Yong in the early Northern Song Dynasty is not completely antagonistic,They have distinct barriers and complement each other,which reflects the "flat weather" in the early Northern Song Dynasty and the "peaceful mentality" of the people who were keen on singing and dancing. |
