| Tea culture is historical in China. It was said that it became popular in Tang dynasty and flourishing in Song dynasty which was seen as a peak in the history of Chinese tea. With lyrics as generation of literature in the Song dynasty, it was linked inextricably with tea culture. Therefore, the lyrics about tea culture indeed deserve researching.But in the macro perspective of the tea studies, tea literature was not taken seriously; if tea literature research singly concerned, the vast majority of the research focused on the tea poetry, while the tea lyrics was very rare. However, taking into account the fact that the lyrics was always sang in the banquet concert, it is closely related to the tea party of Song dynasty. Moreover, many outstanding tea lyrics reflect the social customs and spirit of the times. So, this article focuses on this, in order to have little contribution to this field.The introduction part of this article provides a brief combing about the necessity and feasibility of the tea lyrics study in the macro views of the tea studies and literary studies; further establishes the research objects of this article and research methods, and makes a definite scope to the tea lyrics that this paper will to study.Chapter â… chooses to reviews the history of Chinese tea culture since the source through the development of Qin and Han, Wei and Jin, Tang to Song dynasty, clarifies the history influence, the social environment and specific performance of the flourish of tea culture in Song dynasty.Chapter â…¡ focuses on the "lyrics encouraging tea" which was generated in the banquet occasions. Combining the banquet etiquette program of Song dynasty, this article makes a detailed analysis about the background this kind of lyrics generated, further interprets their significance of cherishing the joy, inviting guests for a long while and reliving excessive drinking. In addition, the paper illustrates the important role of geisha who is responsible for making tea and singing on the party.As a continuation of chapter â…¡, chapter â…¢ expands to the lyrics concerning tea which existed in the daily lives of peoples in Song dynasty. There are four aspects mentioned:varieties of tea and the collection and production process, the choosing of water and tools, the method of "dian cha" and the custom of "dou cha", the function and beautiful feeling of drinking tea. Basing on these, the paper makes an overall explanation of the rich tea culture lives reflected in the tea lyrics of Song dynasty.Chapter IV briefly discusses the aesthetic implication of tea lyrics, which including four points of view:the type of culture in Song dynasty, the ceremonial role of tea, the agreement between tea and Zen, the blend together of elegance and deep secularism. So the spiritual connotation and culture interest of tea lyrics in Song dynasty are clear.The end is a brief practical significance of the study on the tea lyrics, in the hope that this paper can be a little good for today’s tea culture inheritance and the construction of spiritual civilization. |
