Research On Application And Design Of Colorful Ceramic Image Symbols In Liling Glaze.

Liling underglazed multicolored porcelain is an important part of the intangible cultural heritage of Huxiang region.Its creation and burning represent a major breakthrough in Chinese ceramic skills and a treasure of the traditional art of the Chinese nation.It is famous in the world for its high white texture and bright color,thus it is of great aesthetic and cultural significance,and is extremely researchful.Although the progress and high speed development of modern science and technology is beneficial to the improvement of porcelain making technology and porcelain material,the underglazed success of porcelain,a kind of porcelain that integrates the beauty of craftsmanship,quality and decoration,lies not only in technology,but also in improvement of artistic quality.The extensive development of social aesthetics provides new opportunities and challenges for Liling underglazed colored porcelain.Daily porcelain occupies a major part of Liling’s underglazed colored porcelain production,and its decorative patterns often follow traditional patterns.However,the traditional patterns have their metaphorical connotations and reflect the value cultural orientation in different social backgrounds.How to put forward the design concept of Liling underglazed multicolored porcelain from the perspective of image symbols and modern design methods,The significance of the topic lies in the better inheritance and development of traditional decorative patterns and modern aesthetic concepts on Liling’s five-color daily porcelain under glaze,so as to carry forward Liling’s ceramic culture and promote the better development of Liling’s porcelain industry.First of all,based on the existing literature,combined with field research,induction and comparison,case analysis and other research methods,the thesis integrates multidisciplinary knowledge,taking Pierce’s semiotics theory as the breakthrough point.The image classification(image type,indicator type,symbolism type)of the decorative patterns of Liling five-color daily porcelain under glaze was carried out,and the characteristics and implication of its image symbols were explored.In accordance with the order of historical inheritance,Liling underglazed multicolored porcelain was analyzed and summarized from different periods in order to deeply excavate the cultural connotation behind it.Secondly,the study extracts the design experience of daily porcelain decoration through two excellent case studies.Finally,the study puts forward the design principles based on the related principles of design and the previous analysis.Through the value of symbols,the cultural implication of Liling underglazed multicolored porcelain decoration is promoted,and more cultural value is added to the design of the products.
