| Women’s political participation is one of the important symbols of the development of the country’s democratic politics and is an important guarantee for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.It is of great significance to the democratic political process in China today.Over the years,the academic community has conducted comprehensive research on women’s political participation from various perspectives including political science,history,sociology,and psychology,and has obtained a large number of valuable research results.However,from a time point of view,it mainly focused on the 20th century.After the era,there were few studies on the period of pioneering significance in the early days of New China.At the same time,there were few local studies and lack of discussion on personality research.This article attempts to use the advanced academics as a basis to focus on the issue of women’s participation in politics in the early days of New China.Through the discussion on the process of women’s participation in politics and the specific practices in this period,the author analyzes the characteristics of women in politics in Hunan Province.Lessons Learned.After the establishment of the P.R.C.,the Chinese Communist Party made new changes,abolished all kinds of women’s restraints in the feudal society,gave women various rights,and the Human women’s movement achieved unprecedented development.The Party and the government guided women’s participation in politics and brought about changes in the society.The integration of the various central tasks with the political participation of Hunan women is conducive to China’s economic development and at the same time promoting the participation of women in political participation.Women’s participation in politics during this period presented unique characteristics:the establishment of a leader,namely China The Communist Party’s absolute leadership over women’s political participation provides four guarantees;the country’s solid political,economic,legal,and organizational guarantees for women’s participation in politics;four experiences gained,and the improvement of women’s participation in politics and diversification of women’s cadre training mechanisms.The optimization of the political environment and the improvement of its own quality led to a self-conscious increase in the consciousness of women in participating in politics.At the same time,great achievements have been made:the status of women has been fully upgraded,women’s cadres have achieved substantial growth in numbers,and the social environment for women’s participation in politics has improved.Looking at the women’s participation in politics in the early days of New China,its breadth and depth were unprecedented.This laid a solid foundation for subsequent women’s participation in politics and left valuable wealth.This article takes Hunan Province as a research object of women’s participation in politics.Through the collation and analysis of the original archives data,we intend to proceed from the two dimensions of policy and data,and use the data of universal suffrage and women’s congress as a new perspective.A simple analysis of the issue is to be expected to benefit Hunan women’s participation in politics in the new period.This paper can be divided into three parts:The first part mainly discusses the initial process of women’s political participation in Hunan.Time is the period from the 1949 to the restoration and development of the national economy in 1952.This stage is the initial stage of women’s political participation in Hunan.The Party and the government promulgate laws and regulations to give women political rights;women’s economic independence through land reforms and democratic reforms;At the same time,it improved the discrimination against women in society and strengthened the work of education in preparation for women’s participation in politics.Hunan women began to participate in politics here.The second part was from 1953 to 1956.With the completion of the restoration of the national economy,the country entered the socialist transition period and proposed the general line of the transition period.Under the leadership of the Party,Hunan women entered a specific stage of political participation.Women’s organizations were established and expanded one after another.The convening of a women’s congress has broadened the channels for women’s participation in politics.The general election has become the most extensive political practice for women in Hunan.Inspired their enthusiasm for political participation;female cadres have come to the political arena and began to show their prominence.The third part is the summary of Hunan participation in politics in the early stage of P.R.C.Under the leadership of the party and under the leadership of women’s organizations,Hunan Provence has achieved a series of results in women’s participation in politics.It has been fully practiced and tempered in various sports.The increase in the number of female cadres and the overall improvement of the status of women have given women in Hunan Have more confidence to move to the next route.At the same time,the problems exposed in the process are also worth pondering.The lack of high-level female cadres,coupled with the passive consciousness of women in the process of participating in the government leading to weak conscious awareness,and the increasingly prominent family and work conflicts,all raise new challenges.In spite of this,Hunan women’s participation in politics in the early of P.R.C.still had its own characteristics and had the experience of drawing lessons for women’s participation in politics. |
