Between the Ming and Qing dynasty,Fengshenyanyi(??????)was a historical magic novel that was widely spread.This paper selected 2347 interrogative sentences in the Fengshenyanyi as researchful objects.According to the classification method of Yang Bojun and He Leshi,it is divided into three categories:Inquiring sentence,Rhetorical question and Measurement question.Inquiring sentence was the most one,there were 1508 cases,accounted for 64.3%;Rhetorical questions were817 cases,accounted for 34.8%;Measurement question was the least,there were 22cases,accounted for 0.9%.In the Inquiring sentence,Specific question appeared most,there were 1308 cases,accounted for 86.7%;yes-no question were 127 cases,accounted for 8.4%;alternative question appeared least,in total 26 cases,accounted for1.7%;general interrogation were 47 cases,accounted for 3.1%.In rhetorical question,805 cases marked with interrogative words accounted for 98.5%of the total;12 cases without question marks,which accounted for 1.5%.Estimated questions were all used”Mo(?)”as the mark.Through statisticed and analyzed,we got conclusions in the below:the type of questions in the Fengshenyanyi have been very complete;most of the interrogative words inherited from pre-qin,and a few emerged from modern Chinese;interrogative words that with the same semantic function always expressed meaning by one interrogative word;modal particle at the end of the sentence such as ”hu(?)””ye(?)””zai(?)” inherited from the pre-Qin literature,in modern Chinese it only preserved ”me(?)”and”le(?)”.
