The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between the symbolic attributes and its perceived fitness and organizational attractiveness-including theoretical structure of symbolic attributes,whether symbolic attributes and its perceived fitness have a significant positive effect on organizational attractiveness,to compensate for the defects in the past research,and provide some guidance and reference for potential applicants and bring some inspiration for the company to recruit more suitable applicants.On the basis of reviewing and analyzing the previous literature,this research took potential applicants as subjects and school and government as specific organization objects.Through the questionnaire survey,the statistical tool was used to revise the Symbol Attributes Scale.Then the formal measurement was carried out on this basis,and the statistical tool was used to analyze the relationship between the symbolie attributes and the organizational attractiveness.The results of the research show that:1.The Symbol Attributes Scale included four dimensions:Pleasure,Excitement,Competence and Sophistication.2.In demographic variables such as family background,whether they have related work or internship experiences,professional categories,symbolic attributes and their perceived fitness and organizational attractiveness were significantly different.3.Organizational familiarity,symbolic attributes and their perceived fitness had a significant positive effect on organizational attractiveness.4.There were significant differences in the influence factors and effects of organizational attractiveness of the two organizations,for government,there was a significant positive relationship between organizational familiarity,Excitement,Sophistication,perceived fitness and organizational attractiveness;for school,there was a significant positive relationship between organizational familiarity,Pleasure,Sophistication,perceived fitness and organizational attractiveness.5.Perceived fitness partly mediated the relationship between symbolic attributes and organizational attractiveness.Through this research we can draw the following conclusions:1.The organizational attractiveness was greater when the organizational familiarity was higher.2.The more positive the symbolic attributes were,the more attractive the organization was.3.the organizational attractiveness was greater when the perceived fitness was higher.4.There was a great discrepancy on potential applicants' attributes attention and attributes perception between school and government.5.Symbolic attributes can not only directly affect organizational attractiveness,but also have indirect effects on organizational attractiveness through perceived fitness.
