The Influence Of Father Presence On Moral Disengagement Of Junior High School Students:the Role Of Self-esteem And Moral Identity

Purpose:This study discusses the influence of junior high school students' father presence on moral deduction,and the role of moral identity and self-esteem,in order to understand the influence factors of junior high school students' moral disengagement development.Methods:In this study,486 junior high school students in three middle schools in Changsha,Hunan Province,were investigated by questionnaire.Research result:(1)the junior middle school students' father presence level is in power,moral identity,self-esteem is higher,and the overall level of moral deduction is lower;There was a significant difference between father presence,moral disengagement and moral identity in grade;moral disengagement and self-esteem had significant differences in gender.(2)moral deduction is negatively correlated with father presence,self-esteem and moral identity;There was a significant positive correlation between father presence and self-esteem and moral identity.There was a significant positive correlation between self-esteem and moral identity.(3)father has a significant negative effect on the moral disengagement,father presence level is higher,moral disengagement level is lower;moral identity also has a significant negative effect on the moral disengagement,moral identity level is higher,the lower the level of moral disengagement;moral identity plays a part intermediary role between moral disengagement and in the reign of his father.(4)self esteem plays a regulatory role between father presence and moral disengagement.self-esteem and father presence in office together can inhibit the moral evading level.Conclusion:Junior high school students' father presence,moral disengagement,self-esteem and moral identity are better in general,boys'moral disengagement level is higher than that of girls,The male students'self-esteem level is also higher than that of the girls'.Father presence has a significant negative effect on the moral disengagement.Moral identity plays a part of intermediary role between the father's presence and moral disengagement.elf-esteem plays a regulatory role between the father's presence and moral disengagement.
