| "Lotus",because of its pure and noble symbol of virtue,has been accepted and loved by many literati,scholars and the public at home and abroad.Therefore,the lotus patterns formed by are widely used in various fields such as ceramics,architecture and silk.From the embryonic stage of primitive period to the influence of foreign culture in the northern and Southern dynasties to the cultural fusion of the song and Ming dynasties.The lotus pattern formed different forms and cultural connotations under the influence of social,economic and political background in different periods.This paper takes the traditional ceramic lotus pattern as the research object,analyzes its historical evolution process and its application in different fields of modern design.The design practice is based on this theory.This paper mainly focuses on the evolution process and application of lotus pattern with ceramic as carrier,firstly introduces the significance and purpose of the research,defines the concept of Lotus pattern in this paper,summarizes the existing research at home and abroad and its unexplored parts,and points out the focus and innovation point of this paper.Through the preliminary investigation,the evolution process of the Chinese Traditional ceramic lotus pattern is summarized as four times,the beginning period,the transition period,the development period and the popularization period.Through information collection,the external form of ceramic lotus patterns to the internal cultural essence to make a comprehensive comb,from the initial worship of human reproduction,to the northern and Southern dynasties to become a symbol of Buddhism,and then to the cultural integration of the period to become a symbol of noble personality and auspicious,the impact of the era of its wings gradually plump.Lotus pattern’s inclusiveness and its profound artistic characteristic and the cultural connotation,made it in the modern design also receives the widespread application.Covering the graphic design,process products,apparel design,environmental art design and other fields,including aesthetic value,cultural and artistic value and economic value.Many excellent designers take the traditional national culture as the foundation,combine the modern popular esthetic idea and use the advanced science and technology to make different innovative designs to the Lotus pattern.This paper analyzes the application of lotus pattern in modern design through case analysis and photo-text complementation.According to the above research,combined with the contemporary public aesthetic perspective,the new interpretation of lotus patterns,complete design practice. |
