Questioning is a common method used by teachers in classroom teaching.The implementation of effective classroom questioning by teachers can enhance students’ enthusiasm to participate in the classroom,effectively promote language communication between students and teachers,and further improve students’ mastery of English vocabulary and sentences,thus realizing the purpose of communicating in English.Through classroom observation,questionnaires,teacher interviews and other methods,it is found that the business English classroom teachers’ questions in secondary vocational schools deviate from the teaching focus,cannot pay effective attention to students,cannot effectively cultivate students’ language application ability,and cannot encourage students to think about problems.The low professional quality of teachers,the lack of teaching wisdom of teachers and the imperfect teaching evaluation system in schools are the main reasons for the poor effectiveness of teachers’ questioning.Through teachers should establish student-oriented education concepts,schools should strengthen teachers’ quality management,improve the quality of classroom teaching,teachers should strengthen teaching reflection and strengthen learning and research strategies of questioning strategies,thus improving the effectiveness of business English teachers’ classroom questioning,promoting the quality of classroom teaching,and improving the quality of business English professionals in secondary vocational schools.
