Vocabulary is the foundation of language.Only by mastering enough words can we achieve the purpose of using language.In practical English teaching,the importance of vocabulary is more prominent.However,English scores of students in vocational school are low,and they memorize words in the traditional methods,lacking of vocabulary memorizing strategies and methods.How to teach words,how students learn words is a subject that must be overcome for the English teacher.On the basic of traditional vocabulary teaching methods,teachers should teach the students vocabulary memory strategies.Make the students master some word memory strategies,form the habit of using strategies,remember words easier,improve the effect of memory,and then improve the English.At the same time,it provides a theoretical reference for similar professional vocabulary teaching in similar schools.The vocabulary of the teaching materials of the author is based on the vocabulary of the associative strategy memory.Before the experiment,I collected and read a large number of literature on associative strategies of English words,systematically studied the relevant theoretical knowledge of lexical association strategy,and learned about schema theory,cognitive psychology principle and memory principle related to it.In the teaching materials of this research,the lexical memory strategy is mainly based on the lexical association strategy,collocation association strategy and semantic associative strategy.Therefore,this study will train the students from the three lexical strategies of the above-mentioned associative strategies.Based on the English proficiency of the subjects,and their English vocabulary and their current status and cognitive characteristics,I divided the subject into three levels.Through three levels of internal changes in test scores before and after the experiment to analyze the different level students memory new instant,delay effect,analysis the memory strategy,associative strategy are verified through the experimental study the effect of vocabulary teaching.In this experiment,questionnaire,interview and test methods were used to evaluate the teaching objects.The author used SPSS 19 to analyze and discuss the pre-test and post-test scores.After the training of vocabulary association sub-strategy,most students have mastered three sub-strategies and can actively use strategies to memorize words.The memory effect has been improved significantly,and the English ability has been improved.
