With the development of the economy and our society, people pay more and more attention to intellectual property, especially the property of trade marks. In this context, the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council to approximate the laws of the Member States relating to trade marks had been issued by the European Union in 2015.The English version of this Directive is selected as the translation material for the translation practice. The purpose of the Directive is to approximate the substantive and procedure laws relating to trade marks of the Member States in the European Union.Compared with the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property, the Directive is much more developed and practical. Therefore,it is an important reference for our approximation of the trademark laws and regulations in the Chinese mainland,Taiwan,Hong Kong and Macao, and it is of great reference value for the settlement of disputes relating to trade marks.Guided by Vermeer's skopos theory for translation, the strategy and commission of this practice are determined. In this paper, the stylistic features of the source text are analyzed to illustrate the focus-the terminologies and long sentences. Some cases are cited to discourse and analyze the solutions to language difficulties, and the conclusion is logically made.
