Camel rock site is located in the Mongolian Autonomous County of Hoboksar,Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region,is an open-air stone tool workshop.The site has only been reported since its discovery.In the summer of 2014,the teachers and students of Northwest University conducted a survey on the site were collected 51 stone artifacts,including funnel core,discoid core,blade core,flake,blades,scrapers,adzes,and tongue shaped adzes.This paper is the collation and study of this batch of materials.Through the analysis of these stone artifact,discoid core,funnel core,and blade core is mainly used to peel off the blades.Through the observation of the discoid core and blank,we find when the ancient human made a discoid core,the brain has a concept version of the corresponding shape,create discoid core ideas and the procedures is very clear,this proofs the ancient human in Camel rock site already have a higher wisdom and flake technology.The adzes and tongue shaped adze,provides a basis for judging the nature and age of the site.The tongue shaped adze is probably tools,or may be a kind of tools blank,stone producers is likely to produce this kind of tool blank here,then take it to do the final processing.Adzes shaped are regular,and very similar with the historical period of the stone adze.According to the characteristics of tools and the research results of other open-air stone tool workshop in China,it is concluded that the period of camel rock stone stool workshop site is not limited to the Paleolithic period.It is maybe enter the bronze period.
