| The thesis is a preliminary research on the Paleolithic stone artifacts in the Jinsitai cave site. Characters of stone artifacts from three main cultural layer and relationship among them are discussed. The cultural character have some differences compared with the other cultural sites of the Paleolithic period. It include five parts I. PrefaceJinsitai cave site is located at the eastern Inner Mongolian Plateau. It is a important prehistoric site. It was excavated by institute of cultural relics and archaeology in Inner Mongolian autonomous region, cultural relics station in Xilinguole area and cultural relics office at Dong Wuzhumu County in 2000. The above-mentioned organizations unearthed the second excavation in 2001. They exposing an area of about 80 m~2. A lot of archaeological materials were unearthed from site, such as stone artifacts, animals bones and skeleton.II. Geographical position, cultural layers and stagesEight stratigraphic layers were identified at the site, with the total thickness of more than 3 meters. Each cultural layer is divided into several second-layers.According to the characters of cultural relics, two main cultural periods are identified. The late period includes layer 1-2, the age is Dynasty Shang and Zhou; the early period includes layers 3-8, it is mainly in the Paleolithic period.
