Research And Application Of Pattern Design Based On Ractal Theory

At present,an increasing number of fractal theory are utilized in pattern design,which injecting new vitality to the innovation and development of pattern design and providing new design ideas and methods combines with art design.However,due to the differences of disciplines and other factors,fractal theory has not been well applied in pattern design,and it has many limitations in application design.I majored in Art Design and Mathematics,which makes me have both knowledge in art design and mathematics.Thus,as a scholar and designer of art layout,I know the necessity and difficulty of classification theory applied in art innovation in the procession of design.This article will combine professional advantages with research of interdisciplinary learning to find a suitable way for art design professionals to learn the fractal pattern design,and to explore how to use it in modern art design.The first chapter of this article introduced the background,purpose,significance,literature review,organizational structure and innovations.The second chapter introduce the basic concepts and features of fractal and the software that makes it.Chapter3,4 and 5 are the focus of this article.The third chapter studies and summarizes the extraction and generation of traditional graphics and fractal graphics systematically,and then compare the differences between traditional graphic and fractal graphic design.Chapter 4th is based on the previous chapters,from the perspective of art designers,through theoretical research and design practice,and summed up how to use the main mathematical ideas in the fractal theory to guide the design of fractal designs,which including: iterative thought,combination of numbers and shapes,relationship between unit and structure,and mapping thought.The fifth chapter validates the research results of this paper and designs a series of fractal design works by the summed up method and uses the fractal software Apophysis which introduced the second chapter to design the fractal pattern design.These works are further applied to modern art design in order to discuss the application of fractal pattern modeling in modern art design.
