The Nanren in Jin Dynasty are the people who or whose ancestors ever belong to Song Dynasty, different from the "Yan" or "Han" people whose ancestors belong to the Liao Dynasty.Until now, there are not many academic researches about the Nanren and mostly focused on the discussion of their political status.Their emotional changes, ethnic identity and ideological changes that experienced since their entry into Jin Dynasty did not get enough attention. However, the existence of the Nanren has its own unique significance and value in history. The changes in their ideological concepts and identities reflect not only the people's choices between the change of the old and new regimes, but also people's changes in the invaded and colonial areas.Today the concept of national integration is deeply rooted in people's minds. But this concept was formed during long-term historical development. It was the result of time and repeated practice. If we come back to the eleventh century,we will find that Jin is a totally foreign country to the people who live in the Song.Although in history the Jurchens had more or less contact with the Central Plains dynasty,it has never been part of the indispensable and direct rule of the Central Plains regime. In the twelfth century, when the Jurchens trampled south, they robed the property and occupied the land of Song which could be called aggression.Today we can define it as the historical replacement of the Chinese dynasty. But in the eyes of the Song people,is this kind of behavior really justified and irreproachable? We are always accustomed to thinking on the issue from the perspective of the Han nationality regime. We unified all the Nanren on this land and gave them the name of the "People in Jin",but forgot their identity as Song posterity. On the south is the Han regime which is established by Zhao.On the north,it is the land they get from their ancestors ruled by an alien regime. What will they do and what kind of emotion they will have for the two regimes? This article intends to examine the political and emotional choices of the Nanren in Song Dynasty an Jin Dynasty. The article is mainly divided into six parts:1.Loyalty:This section mainly describes some people who died in the Jin-Song War,as well as who entered the Jin but still has strong loyalty for the Song Dynasty. Some of them were forced to accept the official positions of the Jin dynasty, and some did not,but no matter which one, they all showed their loyalty to the Song dynasty.2.Abandonment:This section mainly introduces some people who abandoned the Song Dynasty. They came to Qi or Jin Dynasty and accept their official positions. The use of abandonment instead of betrayal is due to the fact that some of these people did not choose to be loyal to the Song dynasty because they were disappointed with this dynasty or they had their own idea about how to build a better country.3.Hidden:This section mainly describes those who did not explain their feelings about the Song Dynasty after entering the Jin.Some of them are hermits but have close contacts with the official in Jin.Some people have already been a member of Jin official. However, they all experienced the perish of Song, did not speak is also a way to show their attitude.4.Following:This part of the people who follow the Southern Song Dynasty. Some of them experienced the rule of the Northern Song Dynasty. After the establishment of the Southern Song Dynasty, they gradually returned to the South. Some people ever belong to Jin Dynasty. However, they were affected by the family.Although they were born in the North and grew up in the North, they eventually defected to the Southern Song Dynasty regime.5.Oblivion:This section describes the gradual transformation of attitudes towards the Southern Song Dynasty by the descendants of Northern Song Dynasty adherents and later generations. With the passage of time and the stability of the Jin rule, the people of the Northern Song Dynasty no longer had any hope for the Southern Song Dynasty, and the Southern Song became a complete "the other".6.Opposition:This part mainly introduces the Nanren who against Song Dynasty in the war between the Jin and the Southern Song Dynasty. They showed absolute loyalty to the Jin Dynasty. The Jin Dynasty won the country with military power, but it has finally won the approval of the people in the ruling areas and has become one of the orthodox dynasties in Chinese history. There is no loyalty in the world for no reason. There is nothing inherently right or wrong. This is especially true for a regime. No one can maintain a country just by blood and geopolitics. The choice of the people will change, and the only thing that remains unchanged is the pursuit of a better life.
