Study On Zawgyi's Literary Criticism

Zawgyi(1907-1990)is a famous writer and poet of Myanmar.He has deeply studied Myanmar literature and written lots of literary criticism articles.Zawgyi 's literary criticism is not only a comprehensive study of Myanmar literature,but also a unique interpretation of Myanmar's representative writers and works,and an in-depth analysis of their literary creation activities.The literary creation theory,the works theory,the writer theory and the poetry creation theory in Zawgyi 's literary criticism constitute Zawgyi 's literary creation thought,which has influenced and promoted the development of Myanmar literature.Zawgyi 's literary thoughts think highly of the practical significance of literary works and emphasize that the literature root in life and also reflects life state.The literary criticism of Zawgyi 's will help readers to have a deep-going understand about the development of Myanmar literature and improve the appreciation level of Myanmar literature.The thesis is divided into four parts.The first chapter,taking Zawgyi 's literary criticism as the object,combing the viewpoints of Zawgyi 's literary criticism.The second chapter,from the contents of Zawgyi 's literary criticism,to discuss the Zawgyi 's literary creation thought.The third chapter,studies the characteristics and causes of Zawgyi 's literary criticism.Chapter four studies the influence of Zawgyi 's literary review on the development of Myanmar's modern literature.Through the four chapters mentioned above,this paper makes a study on the literary criticism of Zawgyi,whose aim is to carry forward the traditional culture of the nation,which not only makes the Myanmar scholars attach importance to the study of Myanmar literature,also help readers make further effort to learn more about the development of Myanmar literature.
