R.G.Peffer's Defense For Marx's Theory Of Moral

The question of whether Marxism contains the moral dimension has been one of the focuses of academic debate since the second international.Analytic Marxism discuss about justice,equality,freedom of Marxism,etc.No matter what they discuss about,philosophy or politics or economics or sociology,their theories almost involve the moral theory of Marxism.As the representative of Analytic Marxism,R.G.Peffer inherits the method of Analytic Marxism,in combination with method of metaethical,and he proved that the relation between Marxism and morality in general are compatible.Peffer combs Marx's text and exhibits the three implicit morals content——freedom(as self-determination),human community and self-realization.And he thinks that Marx is a mixed deontologist.After examining various interpretations of Marx's moral values,Peffer has refuted the claim that Marxism lacks moral dimensions.Peffer defense of Marx's moral theory is to dismiss the views that Marx is as an anti-moralist or a non-moralist or a moral relativist or a moral historian.Peffer applies the methods and techniques of analytic philosophy in order to clarify the fuzzy concept,judgment in Marx's moral theory and he combs method of metaethical to give Marx's theory of moral a new interpretation methods.He accurately explains the relationship between Marxism and the overall level of moral.On the basis of studying Marx's text,Peffer makes a reasonable defense of Marx's moral theory.This defense provides a new research field for Marxist research and shows another research method,and also highlights the value dimension of Marxism.It also provides theoretical support for promoting spiritual civilization and ideological education in China.At the same time,the lack of methods and some inadequate explanations and the lack of material consideration in Peffer's defense have limitations.Therefore,we should dialectically look at the theory of Peffer and criticize absorption.
