| As the role of the news website of Chinese universities is becoming more and more important in the course of university internationalization,the demand on the news translation is also becoming higher and higher.However,the English news websites of some universities cannot achieve the goal of information delivery or the foreign publicity because of the existence of some Chinese-English(Chinglish)expressions.The paper taking more than ten news articles from Tianjin University News Website as research object makes an analysis of the translation texts with the application of Communication Translation proposed by Peter Newmark.The aim of this paper lies in the improvement of translation quality,the better materials for foreign publicity,and the reference for other Chinese universities on English news translation.Using the method of Document Analysis,a brief information introduction and summary was made on Communication Translation and university English news translation.Four translation principles for university news website translation were concluded,including accuracy of meaning expression,logic of content order,maximization of information delivery,and reader-orientation of translation creation.The specific analysis of translation methods and skills was conducted through the method of illustration.The conclusion and reflection of the translation of university news website were conducted at the end of the paper. |
