A Study On Zhang Yaozeng's Interpersonal Network

Zhang Yaozeng was an important political and legal figure in the period of eh Republic of China(1912-1949).As one of the leaders of Political Society,he was active in the government of the Republic of Beijing politics,served as the chief justice for three times,and participated in the creation of Political Society.During the period of Nanjing national government,he took up the post of a lawyer in Shanghai and participated in "the seven gentlemen case" and other major cases.Through marshaling the genealogy,the collection,the diary and the related letters,this paper tries to construct a general framework for the interpersonal network of Zhang Yaozeng and thereby analyses the characteristics and influence of his social network,and,through the individual case of Zhang Yaozeng,investigates the communicative state during the period of the Republic of China(1912-1949).This paper constructs the framework of the thesis according to Mr.Lin Qitan's"Wuyuan culture theory".The first part of this paper mainly analyses interactions between Zhang Yaozeng and his relatives from the perspective of kinship to reflect Zhang Yaozeng's real feelings.From the geographical point of view,especially the political intersection between Zhang Yaozeng and his ancestral home Yunnan,the second part mainly illustrates that Yunnan forces are his crucial political resources,which has an important influence on his political career and becoming features of Zhang Yaozeng's interpersonal network.The third part analyses the contact between he and the political and legal profession.Though Zhang Yaozeng and their association is mainly public sentiment,it also contains the factors of friendship.The last part is a summary of the characteristics of Zhang Yaozeng's interpersonal network and its influence.Zhang Yaozeng had built a complex and extensive interpersonal network,and accumulated a large number of human resources.On the one hand,he expanded his social network,got to know new contacts,and broaden the scope of communication.On the other hand,through the close communication and contact with acquaintances,he deepen the depth of communication.In this process,Zhang Yaozeng's social influence and status had also been rising.After retirement,he used the interpersonal connections established during his political era as a boost to carry out his career as a lawyer.In different circles,he played a different role.Kinship,geography and the edge of many aspects of the intersection constitute his comprehensive social interpersonal network.
