Research On Guizhou Bank During The Republic Of China (1912-1949)

This paper is divided into seven parts,which are the foreword,the establishment and change of Guizhou bank in the period of the Republic of China,the currency issue and circulation of Guizhou bank,the business situation of Guizhou bank,the system construction of the modernization of Guizhou bank and the influence and conclusion of Guizhou bank on the economy and finance at that time.Through the collation and analysis of archives and related documents,using the research method of empirical history,adhering to the principle of combining history and theory,I strive to study the Bank of Guizhou in the period of the Republic of China from a multiple perspective and a comprehensive perspective.During the period of the Republic of China,the Bank of Guizhou was established in 1912 and ended in 1949.During this period,it experienced three times of reconstruction and decline,and its actual business hours totaled 20 years.Guizhou bank has many branches and a wide range of business,forming a close and extensive financial network with Guiyang as the center and covering the whole province.At the beginning of the Republic of China,issuing local currency was the common feature of local banks at that time.There are many kinds of banknotes issued by Guizhou bank,but their functions are the same,all of them are to make up for local finance.Bank of Guizhou is the first banking institution in Guizhou history,and also the first modern financial professional institution in Guizhou during the period of the Republic of China.Guizhou bank,as a local bank in Guizhou Province,has not been able to get rid of the intervention of the local government from the beginning to the end.From being burdened by finance in the period of warlord,it has become a tool for warlord to raise military expenditure,to indirectly collecting money for government officials in the period of national government,Guizhou bank has not realized its purpose and value of existence,and has become an accessory of the political power.Although the Bank of Guizhou can not really exist as an independent financial institution,after all,it is the first modern banking institution in Guizhou history.The emergence of the Bank of Guizhou has spread new financial management mode and promoted new financial management mode,which is a sign of the development of modern financial industry in Guizhou.
