According to the English Curriculum Standards,teaching is a process that teacher and student cooperate mutually.Effective teaching teachers can promote the growth of students,students can also lead to better performance of teachers to teach better,the so-called Teaching others teaches yourself.And language learning is more unlikely to be an one-sided activities.When the input language is received,you also need to practice,in a non-native language environment.However,the primary senier students do little about class activity instead of their enthusiasm in early years of primary school.Therefore,the author investigates this phenomenon by investigating,interviewing and observing in two primary schools in rural areas of Lanzhou,and on the basis of investigating the existing research results,to find out the causes of the problems.Then classify the rural students’ silence behavior in English classroom,analysis of the reasons leading to this current situation from family education,school teaching,students’ individual and socio-cultural factors,put forward correspondent recommendations and the main strategies to break the rural students’ classroom silence and promote the comprehensive development of junior high school students which is the point of this thesis.To break the left-behind students’ classroom silence,the paper recommends the following four aspects: distinction classroom silence,create a good educational environment,designed exploratory dialogue for teaching needs,promoting the overall development of students.Finally,the conclusion summarizes the focus of this paper,point outs the deficiencies of the study and the direction for further research.
