A Study On The Presentation Of The Craftsmanship Spirit In Documentary

In 2016,Premier Li Keqiang first put forward the word " Craftsmanship Spirit " in the report of the two sessions,emphasizing the spirit of craftsman who wants to cultivate excellence.Although all walks of life are facing impact in such era flooded with fast-food culture.The craftsmanship spirit of concentration,persistence and striving for perfection are the models what modern young people need to learn.With the rapid development and diffusion of industrial civilization and technological society,traditional craftsmen are declining while handcraft industry are gradually losing its living environment due to inefficiency.It has been increasingly insignificant in such modern time.In 2015,a documentary made by CCTV which called Greater Country Craftsman attracted people to focus back on the craftsmen.Thereafter many relevant documentaries blossomed about craftsmanship spirit and heritage including Cultural Inheritor,The Great Shokunin and so on.Those objective and real video documentaries could recall and deliver the craftsmanship spirit.They are also conductive to expand the range and accelerate the spread speed.As an effective propaganda way,documentary reappear the living life story of ordinary person by using beloved manifestation and decentration record from civilian perspective.It does not only hit the target for spread,but also meet the requirement of promoting propagandism and influence in new media age.This thesis starts with a point that all industry need craftsmanship spirit in consumerism age,the spirit are delivered widely by documentary and analyzes the creative features in craftsmanship spirit documentary.The first part of this article analyzes the basic concept of the spirit of craftsmen,extended meaning and expression of film and television.The second part is aimed at the analysis of CCTV documentary Masters In Forbidden City,NHK documentary Intelligent Person of Craftsmen and BBC documentary Craved With Love from the perspective of character image reappearance,dramatization technique and expression means application.Moreover,it would direct to the illustration and reflection of individual graduation work “Nowhere to Place the Waterwheel” and provide reference for future creation and research of craftsmanship spirit documentary in the last part.
