In recent years,there is a new trend to research Zhang Xueliang's modernization thought.However,for the three-year administration of Zhang Xueliang in northeast China,the present study is not systematic and insufficient for the northeast new construction theory and practice as well as to northeast area social development role and the impact of problem.In view of this,this article is from the perspective of modernization,systematically study and research Zhang Xueliang's politics during the period of Northeast China in politics,economy,military,culture and education,science and technology and other aspects of the major movements of northeast area especially in the influence of social development process,focusing on the young Zhang Xueliang not being affected by the traditional thought fetter,being enthusiastic to devote themselves to the northeastern region of the society reform and construction of the bold attempt.After Huanggutun incident,Zhang Xueliang by virtue of its powerful military strength,outstanding political ability and good interpersonal relationship in the interior of the Department,began to advocate politics of the northeast.From 1928 to the " Nine / One Eight" incident broke out,Zhang Xueliang presided over the northeast a short span of three years,developed a series of new construction of Northeast China 's major initiatives : the stability of finance,establishing the modern financial institutions;to encourage the agricultural production,the introduction of advanced tools,disarmament,defend,settlement of farmland;to support the national industry and commerce,to promote economic development;change the flag banner,promote the system of government reform,establishing modern local government;the development of infrastructure construction,railway,port;the whole army,advancing the modernization of the army;the development of basic education,strengthen the higher education,enhance the national constitution,protection of northeast culture etc..Zhang Xueliang's politics during the implementation of a series of political,economic,military,cultural initiatives,advance northeast from the semi colonial and semi-feudal nature of the political system to the modern political system forward,and he vigorously developed the national industry as a boycott of Japanese to the northeast economic control has made outstanding contributions,which not only conforms to the historical trend of the times,it accords with the fundamental interests of the people in Northeast China,and to the Northeast social development process played a significant role in promoting.However,these modern practice is in China in the turbulent situation of domestic trouble and foreign invasion,because of the limitation of historical condition,many initiatives have been just as one wishes in the results,even get the opposite of what one wants.Even so,study and discuss Zhang Xueliang's thought and practice,not only to the further understanding of his personality and strength has important significance,but also from the implementation of national unity,the revitalization of the nation's point of view,but also has important inspiration.
