Feminism has been a popular subject of research in modern times. In recent years, literature on feminism attracts more and more attention, and the studies on feminism go further.Feminism was originally put forward by the female leader Olympe de Gouges, when she published Feminist and Women Citizenship Declaration in the French Revolution of 1791.It contains a series of political movements and theories, which aims to end gender discrimination and sexual exploitation of the women who are under oppression, thus promoting gender equality between women and men.Jane Austen is regarded as one of the greatest female writers in English literature history. The Pride and Prejudice,as one of the most famous and popular literary works, mainly tells about how Mr.and Mrs.Bennet's five unmarried daughters perceive wealth, love and happiness in the early 19th century England. The female characters show intelligence and wisdom, which reflects the strong feminist consciousness of Jane Austen.By applying comparison method and analytical method, through the analysis of Elizabeth and Darcy,as well as other female roles such as Elizabeth's three sisters and Mrs.Bennet, and the conversation, destiny, and events among heroine Elizabeth and other female characters in the Pride and Prejudice, this study aims to reveal the women's views on marriage, women's role in society, women's intelligence as well as their pursuit of personality equality. This study is based on the following three aspects:Austen's view on marriage;Women are as intelligent as men;Women have the right to pursue personal independence and equality. The author finds that Jane Austen believes women inherently have the same intelligence and the rights of pursuing love as men,and she accepts the view that marriage should be based on true love and guaranteed by wealth.
