With the introduction of western education,western ideas and the promotion of women's liberation movement,female doctors of western medicine began to appear.As the earliest women's group in modern China,female doctors of western medicine had fully demonstrated its historical process of being accepted by the society.Under the background of public opinion and the improvement of women's consciousness,the scale of female doctors of western medicine was further expanded after the May 4th movement.Female doctors of western medicine mastered modern medical knowledge by studying in domestic medical schools or studying abroad,and grows into professional women.Female doctors of western medicine also encountered many advantages and obstacles in the practice process.Finally,female doctors built its own social network by virtue of social communication and social activities.During the period of the republic of China,the formation of female doctors of western medicine,on the one hand,began to form a distinct social image and self-consciousness,including the view of gender equality,the professionalism of the group,and the external recognition of female doctors of western medicine.On the other hand,while the female doctors had become a respected profession,but gender issues brought about by the professional disorder and confusion,the discrimination,including concept,marriage and work.In fact,professional women have facing long-term,eternal topic in different periods and countries.
