Objective: In this study, cutaneous shallow needling was used to treat migraine without aura(MO),and the clinical efficacy, the improvement of patients' mood and acceptance of acupuncture were observed in the two groups,to explore the clinical significance of cutaneous shallow needling in the treatment of migraine without aura(MO).In order to provide an effective alternative treatment for patients with migraine without aura(MO).Methods: 60 young patients with migraine without aura(MO)who met the diagnostic and exclusion criteria were recruited.Randomly divided into treatment group and control group,30 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with cutaneous shallow needling, while the control group was treated with conventional acupuncture. Two groups of patients were treated once a day,5 times a week, two weeks as a course of treatment, continuous treatment of 2 courses. The observational indicators included the migraine scoring method(total symptom score),SF-MPQ,MSQ,HADS and acupuncture acceptability. All observation indicators were evaluated before treatment, after treatment(week 4)and during follow-up(week 8).Inter-group and intra-group differences were observed, then the occurrence of adverse events was recorded. Results: 1.Shedding: 30 cases were enrolled in the treatment group,1 case was shed and29 cases were completed. In the control group,30 cases were enrolled,1 case was shed and29 cases were completed.2.Baseline conditions: before treatment, there were no statistically significant differences in age, gender, course of disease, syndrome differentiation, total symptom scores(headache frequency, headache degree, headache time, accompanied symptom),SF-MPQ scores,MSQ scores,HADS(A)and HADS(D)scores, acupuncture acceptability scores between the two groups(P>0.05).3.Intra-group comparison: the two groups were compared before treatment and after treatment(week 4)and during follow-up(week 8).The differences in total symptom scores(headache frequency, headache degree, headache time, accompanied symptom),SF-MPQ scores,MSQ scores, and HADS(A)and HADS(D)scores, acupuncture acceptability scores were statistically significant(P< 0.01).4.Inter-group comparison: the total symptom scores(headache frequency, headache degree, headache time, accompanied symptom),SF-MPQ scores and MSQ(RR,RP)scores of the treatment group and the control group after treatment(week 4)showed no significant difference(P>0.05).The difference in MSQ(EF),HADS(A)and HADS(D)scores, acupuncture acceptability scores between the treatment group and the control group after treatment(week 4)was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total symptom scores(headache frequency, headache time)and MSQ(RR,RP)scores of the treatment group and the control group were not significantly different(P>0.05).The total symptom scores(headache degree, accompanied symptom),SF-MPQ scores,MSQ(EF),HADS(A)and HADS(D)scores in the follow-up(week 8)between the treatment group and the control group were statistically significant(P <0.05).Conclusion: 1.Both cutaneous shallow needling and conventional acupuncture can improve the symptoms of migraine without aura(MO)and improve the quality of life. The long-term control effect of cutaneous shallow needling in headache degree and accompanied symptom is better than that of conventional acupuncture.2.Both cutaneous shallow needling and conventional acupuncture can relieve anxiety and depression in patients with migraine without aura(MO),and the efficacy of cutaneous shallow needling is better than that of conventional acupuncture.3.Both cutaneous shallow needling and routine needling can improve the acupuncture acceptance of migraine without aura(MO)patients, and skin superficial needling is more acceptable.
