Objective:To explore the expression of Delta-like-1(DLL1)and its receptor Notch3 in oral lichen planus(OLP)lesions and their relationship with interferon-gamma(IFN-γ),to explore the role and significance of DLL1 and its receptor Notch3 in the formation of local lesions of OLP.Methods:40 samples of OLP lesions(20 samples with erosive type and 20 samples with non-erosive type)and16 samples of healthy oral mucosa were used as controls.Real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR(q PCR)was used to detect the m RNA expression levels of DLL1,Notch3and IFN-γin lesions. The distribution and expression of DLL1,Notch3 and IFN-γin tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry, and the relationship between the exprssion of DLL1,Notch3 and IFN-γin OLP lesions and their relationship with the clinicopathological characteristics of OLP were analyzed.Results:(1)The expression levels of DLL1,Notch3 and IFN-γm RNA in OLP lesions were higher than those in the normal control group(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between the two OLP types(P>0.05);(2)The expression levels of DLL1,Notch3 and IFN-γprotein in OLP lesions were higher than those in the normal control group(P<0.05),and the expression of DLL1,Notch3 and IFN-γwere positively correlated(rs1=0.390,P1<0.05;rs2=0.320,P2<0.05),the expression of DLL1 was positively correlated with the expression of Notch3(rs=0.395,P<0.05);Further analysis of the relationship between DLL1,Notch3,IFN-γand the clinicopathological characteristics of OLP,the results showed that the positive expression rate of DLL1,IFN-γin OLP was positively correlated with the degree of basal cell liquefaction(rs1=0.387,P1<0.05;rs2=0.383,P2<0.05),there was no significant difference in the expression of DLL1,Notch3 and IFN-γbetween the two OLP types(P>0.05).Conclusion:The abnormal expression of DLL1,Notch3 and IFN-γin local lesions of OLP suggests that DLL1,Notch3 and IFN-γmay jointly participate in the pathological damage process of OLP.
