Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of different low concentration atropine eye drops on delay the progression of myopia in children and adolescents for two years, furthermore observe the efficacy of different low concentration atropine eye drops on different degrees of myopia, and the influence on ocular biological parameters.Method:Prospective randomized controlled trial.240 cases of myopic children collected from November 2017 to March 2018 in outpatients were randomly divided into low concentration atropine treatment group(180 cases)and control group(60 cases). Then according to the equivalent spherical diopter, they were divided into low myopia group, moderate myopia group, and high myopia group. The treatment groups were randomly given 0.02%,0.01%,0.005% low concentration atropine eye drops respectively,20 cases in each group. The control group was not treated with low-concentration atropine eye drops. After 2 years of observation and follow-up,the changes of spherical equivalent, axial length, intraocular pressure, pupil diameter, corneal curvature, central anterior chamber depth, amplitude of accommodation were compared before and after treatments. The adverse effects of low-concentration atropine eye drops for 2 years were also observed.Results:1.After applying 0.01% and 0.005% low concentration atropine eye drops for 2years,the differences in SE and AL changes between the two groups were statistically significant, and the differences were statistically significant between the two groups and the control group respectively.2.After applying 0.01% and 0.005% low concentration atropine eye drops for 2years,there were statistically significant differences in SE and AL changes between the two groups in patients with low and moderate myopia, and were statisticallysignificant differences between the two groups and the control group. In patients with high myopia, there were no statistically significant differences in SE and AL changes between the two groups, and were statistically significant differences between the two groups and the control group. In the low, moderate and high myopia groups, after applying 0.01% atropine eye drops for 2 years, the differences in the changes of SE were statistically significant between there groups. The changes of AL in the low and moderate myopia groups were no statistically significant difference, but were statistically significant differences between the low and high myopia groups and between the moderate and high myopia groups. After applying 0.005% atropine eye drops for 2 years, there were no statistically significant differences in the changes of SE and AL between the low and moderate myopia groups, while were statistically significant differences between the low and high myopia groups, and between the moderate and high myopia groups.3.After applying 0.01% and 0.005% low concentration atropine eye drops for 2years,there were no statistically significant differences in IOP,the flatest and the steepest corneal curvature between the groups. The depth of ACD were increased in both groups, but there were no significant difference between the two groups and the control group.4.After applying 0.01% and 0.005% low concentration atropine eye drops for 2years,the pupil diameter were increased and the AMP were decreased, the differences were statistically significant when compared with the control group respectively.5.Applying 0.01% and 0.005% low concentration atropine eye drops, the incidence of adverse effects were lower, and the former was higher than the latter.Conclusion:1.Applying 0.01% and 0.005% low concentration atropine eye drops for 2 years can effectively delay the increase of SE and AL in children and adolescents.0.005%atropine eye drops were effective, providing a new concentration choice.2.Applying 0.01% and 0.005% low concentration atropine eye drops for 2 years can effectively delay the progress of myopia in children and adolescents. In the patients with high myopia, the efficacy of myopia control is not related to the concentration, and the increase of SE and AL in the patients with high myopia is higher than low or moderate myopia.3.Applying 0.01% and 0.005% low concentration atropine eye drops resulted in low incidence of adverse reactions, safety, good compliance and tolerance.
