Objective: The purpose of this study is to describe, analyze, integrate and summarize the real experience and nursing needs of people who had suffered from hypertensive disorders in pregnancy during their illness,so as to help medical staff grasp the common laws of their physiological, psychological, social and other aspects of development during their illness in the future care and treatment of such patients. It can assist medical staff to give targeted treatment and nursing according to the problems in different stages of disease development. At the same time,it can provide reference and basis for formulating individualized nursing service of patients. Methods: This study adopts the research method of hermeneutic phenomenology in qualitative research. The heterogeneity sampling method in the purposeful sampling method was used to select the research subjects, and semi-structured interviews were conducted. The discharged patients who had suffered from hypertensive disorders in pregnancy were selected as interviewees. When the data reached saturation, the sample size was 19.The interview content was recorded, transcribed, and subjects analysis was conducted using Colaizzi data analysis method, assisted by NVivo11 and SPSS16 software for collation and analysis. Results:Through data sorting and analysis, four major themes and thirteen sub-themes were extracted. The four major themes are: confusing easily, not simple, seeking help and asking for needs.Among them,Theme ?'' Confusing Easily '' means confusing with normal pregnancy response or other reasons easily. It can be divided into two sub-themes,which are: considering normal and incomprehension.Theme ? ''Not Simple''is the patient's complex psychological process during the illness. It is divided into four sub-themes,which are: shock and denial, anxiety and fear, acceptance and reassurance, joy and yearning.Theme ? "Seeking Help" is that patients seek help and support from many aspects. It is divided into four sub-themes,including seeking continuing care, seeking disease-related knowledge, seeking change in one's own behavior, and seeking family and social support.Theme ? "Asking for Needs" means patients put forward relevant nursing needs actively. It is divided into three sub-themes:information media,self-blood pressure monitoring system, early prevention and intervention of cardiovascular disease in the future. Conclusion: Through describing and discussing the illness experience and nursing needs of the people who had suffered from hypertensive disorders in pregnancy, this study found that many pregnant women had a lack of knowledge of the disease, and their psychological mood would fluctuate during the illness. They were eager to get support and help from all aspects, and to think about the prevention of the disease and future health care. Therefore,it is necessary to strengthen the disease propaganda during pregnancy and the knowledge of cardiovascular disease prevention and health care in the future. The ways of propaganda and monitoring need to be more convenient. In addition,we should pay attention to maternal psychological changes, strengthen family-hospital-society assistance, and avoid postpartum anxiety and depression.
