Correlation Between Cystatin S And Colorectal Cancer

Objective: To investigate the correlation between human serum cystatin S(CST4)and colorectal cancer,which may provide some reference for further guidance of clinical assistant diagnosis of colorectal cancer.Methods: Patients who met the requirements in the First Affiliated Hospital of Medical school of Shihezi University from October 2018 to March 2019 were collected and divided into colorectal cancer group,colorectal adenoma group and healthy control group based on colonoscopy and pathological results.CEA,CA199,CA724 and other clinical data and blood samples were collected from each group of observation objects,and the CST4 content of serum samples from each group was measured in parallel.The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to calculate the diagnostic threshold of colorectal cancer with CST4 as the detection index.And the sensitivity,specificity and other statistical indicators of colorectal cancer for auxiliary diagnosis were calculated,compared and analyzed.Results: The CST4 test results in the colorectal cancer group were significantly higher than the healthy control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.017).The area under the ROC curve(AUC)for the diagnosis of colorectal cancer was 0.718,and the CST4 ELISA detection system showed a sensitivity of 88.2% and a specificity of 48.0% when the diagnostic threshold of CST4 for colorectal cancer was 90.29 U/mL.The detection results of CEA,CA199,CA724 in colorectal cancer group were significantly higher than those in colorectal adenoma group and healthy control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.017).The sensitivity of serum CST4 combined with CEA,CA199,and CA724 for the diagnosis of colorectal cancer is 94.1%,and the specificity is 36.0%.The four can significantly improve the ability to diagnose colorectal cancer(P < 0.05).Conclusions: The cystatin S is higher in colorectal cancer patients,and there is a correlation between the two,CST4 as a new blood biomarker has potential in the clinical diagnostic value of colorectal cancer.CST4 combined with CEA,CA199 and CA724 can improve the sensitivity of colorectal cancer diagnosis.
