Objective : This study aim to assess the severity of psychological disorders in patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome(PCOS),mainly negative emotions,namely anxiety and depression.Therefore,we can achieve early detection,early diagnosis and early treatment of the diseases.Our doctors can not only treat the physiological diseases of the patients with PCOS,but also ensure their mental health and improve their quality of life.Meanwhile,this study also explore the factors that affect their negative emotions by using subjects anthropometric data,hormone level,glucose and lipid metabolism and so on.Methods:117 cases of patients with PCOS and 117 cases of normal women were randomly selected in this study,and they both fill out two questionnaire named PHQ-9 and GAD-7,in order to assess their levels of anxiety and depression.Their anthropometric data,biochemical indexes and hyperacoustic data were also recorded.We using SAS 9.1 to annlyze these data.Results:1.Among the 117 cases of patients with PCOS,49 cases suffer from depression,with an incidence of 41.88%,and 53 cases suffer from anxiety,with an incidence of 45.30%.Among the 117 cases of normal controls,15 cases suffer from depression,with an incidence of 12.82%,and 22 cases suffer from anxiety,with an incidence of 18.80%.The incidence and severity of anxiety and depression in patients with PCOS were significantly higher than that in normal women(P < 0.05).2.The high incidence of negative emotions in patients with PCOS may be related to menstrual disorders,infertility,hyperandrogenemia,hyperglycaemia and hyperlipemia(P < 0.05).While the correlation with age and BMI is not statistically significant(P > 0.05).3.Patients with PCOS who suffer from anxiety may have a higher incidence and level of depression,and patients with PCOS who suffer from depression may have a higher incidence and level of anxiety(P < 0.05).Conclusion:1.Patients with PCOS are more prone to have a higher incidence and level of anxiety and depression.2.The high incidence of negative emotions in patients with PCOS may be related to menstrual disorders,infertility,hyperandrogenemia,hyperglycaemia and hyperlipemia.3.PCOS patients with anxiety and depression have adverse effects on each other.
