Comparison Of Clinical Effect Of Subxiphoid Thoracoscopic And Traditional Median Thoracotomy In The Treatment Of Thymoma

Objective Investigate the difference between subxiphoid thoracoscopic and traditional median thoracotomy in the treatment of thymoma.Methods 53 patients with thymoma were treated in our hospital from January 2017 to December 2018.38 patients were selected by inclusion and exclusion criteria as the subjects of the study.Among them,19 cases in the study group(group A)were operated by thoracoscopic subxiphoid approach.The other 19 patients in the control group(group B)were treated with traditional median thoracotomy.The basic clinical information,perioperative indexes and complications of the two groups were compared.Results The operation time,intraoperative blood loss,volume of drainage,thoracic cavity drainage time,antibiotic time and Pain score on postoperative day 1 of thoracoscopic thymoma resection by subxiphoid approach were better than those of traditional median thoracotomy thymoma resection,and the differences were statistically significant(P <0.05).The differences were no statistically significant in the incidence ofcomplications between the two groups(P > 0.05),but the percentage of complications by subxiphoid approach was lower than that of traditional median thoracotomy.Conclusion Subxiphoid thoracoscopic thymoma resection is feasible,with the advantages of less surgical trauma,faster postoperative recovery and less complications,which is worthy of clinical application.
