Objective: To investigate the relationship between vestibular migraine and cerebral small vessel disease in young and middle-aged women at high altitude. Methods: From December 2018 to January 2020,64 young and middle-aged women with vestibular migraine(VM)who were treated in Department of neurology or department of Otolaryngology of Affiliated Hospital of Qing Hai University were selected as the case group(among them,4 cases could not provide complete personal general data during the research process).60 young and middle-aged women in physical examination department. The patients in the case group completed the collection of data during the outpatient or inpatient visits, and made statistical analysis to further study the relevant influencing factors of VM.All the patients in the case group and the control group underwent cranial MRI.The patients with vestibular migraine were divided into csvd group and non csvd group for comparative analysis,to further understand the impact of vestibular migraine on cerebrovascular disease. The different types of cerebrovascular diseases in the case group and the control group were compared. Results: Results:(1)the prevalence of csvd was 66.7% in 40 cases, and the prevalence of high signal in white matter was 82.5%;in the control group, the prevalence of high signal in white matter was 60% in 25 cases(P < 0.05).(2)There were 40 patients(66.7%)with CVD in 60 VM patients of case group. The age of csvd group was(43.3 ± 12.46)years old, which was significantly higher than that of non csvd group(37.1 ± 9.1).The prevalence of hypertension in csvd group was 25%,which was significantly higher than that of non csvd group(10%)(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference between csvd group and non csvd group(P > 0.05).(3)(3)The course of migraine and vertigo, the score of headache simulation, the incidence of vertigo accompanied by visual aura or fear of sound / light in csvd group were(17.5 ± 4.5)years,(10.1 ± 2.8)years,(7.2 ± 1.3),70.0% and 65.0% respectively, which were significantly higher than those in non csvd group(14.5 ± 3.5),7.7 ± 2.0,6.5 ± 1.0,40.0% and 50.0%.There was significant difference between the two groups(P < 0.05).(4)The influencing factors of csvd were age, interval of vertigo attack and visual aura(P < 0.05).Conclusion:Conclusion: 1.The incidence of csvd in young and middle-aged women with VM at high altitude is increased, and the common type is high signal in white matter.2.Age,interval time of vertigo attack and visual aura were independent influencing factors of csvd.
