| Objective:To explore the influence factors of serum vitamin D levels in children with asthma.Methods:Clinical data of children with acute asthma who were hospitalized in Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from March 2018 to February 2019 and whose serum VitD level was detected as well,was collected,including gender,age,diagnosis,serum VitD level,season of onset,atopic family history,disease severity,infection.Univariate and multivariate analysis methods were used to explore the effects of age,season,atopic family history,disease severity,infection and other factors on serum VitD level in children with asthma.Results:1.The average level of serum VitD level was 21.70 ± 7.90ng/ml in 179 children with asthma.2.The serum VitD level in asthmatic children was negatively correlated with age(r =-0.484,p = 0.000),and it was higher in children <2 years old group than that of in ?2 years old group(t = 7.009,p = 0.000).3.VitD level in children with asthma occurred in winter and spring was significantly lower than those occurred in summer and autumn(t =-2.283,p = 0.024),especially among children younger than 2 years old(t =-2.662,p = 0.010).While the season of asthma onset had no effect on VitD level in children older than 2 years of age(t =-0.309,p =0.758).4.There were no difference of serum VitD levels between children with different atopic family history,disease severity and infection(P>0.05).5.Multivariate linear regression analysis showed that the serum VitD level of children decreased with age,and specific seasons(spring and winter).When grouped by age,season had an effect only on VitD in asthmatic children younger than 2 years old,which the VitD level in spring and winter was lower than that of in summer and autumn(p = 0.012).Conclusion:1.Age is the major influence factor of serum VitD level in children with asthma.The older the age,the lower the VitD level.2.Season of asthma onset seems to have effect on the serum VitD level in asthmatic children less than 2 years old. |
