Objective:Part of the imaging parameters of lumbar CT axial position were measured between L4-5 segment lumbar spinal stenosis patients and normal control group. To evaluate the validity of the diagnosis of the disease and explore the relationship between facet joint form and single segment lumbar spinal stenosis. Methods:A retrospective analysis was performed on 52 patients with L4-5 single-segment spinal stenosis admitted to our hospital for surgical treatment from January 2018 to June2019.Fifty-one patients with compression fracture of L1 or L2 vertebral bodies were treated as normal controls.Basic demographic data such as gender, age and weight of patients in the two groups were collected, and axial CT phases of L4-5 segments of all patients were observed. The angles of bilateral facet joints in L4-5 segments and the width of upper and lower articular processes were measured and recorded.SPSS 26.0software was used for relevant data entry and processing. The differences between the two groups were compared and analyzed to further explore the relationship between facet joint orientation and L4-5 spinal stenosis. Results:A total of 103 cases were included in this study, with an average age of 48.8 ± 13.2years,and a median age of 48.00 years(38.00-59.00).There were 64 males(62.1%)and39 females(37.9%).There was no significant difference in age, gender, and weightbetween the patient group and the normal control group(P> 0.05);The number of bilateral facet joint angles, the width of upper and lower facet joint interval, the difference between the bilateral facet joint angles, and the width of the bilateral upper and lower facet joint interval were significantly higher in the patient group than in the normal control group(P <0.05).ROC curve analysis results: the left facet joint angle number has the highest specificity(98.0%)for judging L4-5 single-segment spinal stenosis, and the left width of upper and lower facet joint interval has the highest sensitivity(65.4%).According to the Chi-square test, the facet joint tropism is different between the two groups. The positive rate of facet joint tropism in the patient group is significantly higher than that in the normal control group(P <0.05).Conclusion:Bilateral facet joint angles and bilateral upper and lower articular process space widths can effectively predict the occurrence of L4-5 single-segment spinal stenosis, and facet joint orientation is significantly related to this disease.
