Objective:To explore the effect of MDT nutrition management on the radiotherapy process of elderly patients with esophageal cancer. Methods:Selected from January 2018 to September 2019 pathologically proven for elderly patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinomas,60 cases between January 2018 and December 2018 patients as control group(30 cases),between January 2019 and September 2019 patients in experimental group(30 cases),both in our department line image-guided intensity-modulated conformal radiation therapy, the control group given conventional nutrition intervention, the experimental group give full course of MDT nutrition intervention, statistics, nutritional status and incidence of adverse reactions in patients with BMI,treatment time, etc. Results:The PG-SGA tool was used to evaluate the nutritional status of the patients, and the results showed that: the radiotherapy course score of the control group and the clinical experimental group showed that the incidence of moderate and severe malnutrition was86.7% and 70%,respectively,with statistically significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05);The PT,ALB and PA protein indexes in the clinical control groupdecreased first and then increased, while the dynamic changes in the experimental group were stable or increased gradually. After radiotherapy,WBC,PLT and HB in the two groups decreased slightly compared with that before radiotherapy,WBC and HB in the control group decreased significantly after radiotherapy compared with that before radiotherapy, and WBC in the experimental group significantly decreased compared with that in the control group after radiotherapy(P<0.05).In the control group,ALB and PA increased slightly and TP and BMI decreased slightly after radiotherapy compared with that before radiotherapy, while in the experimental group,ALB,PA,TP and BMI increased compared with that before radiotherapy, with significant statistical difference(P<0.05).The PG-SGA score of patients in the two groups after radiotherapy was significantly higher than that before radiotherapy, and the PG-SGA score of patients in the control group was significantly higher after radiotherapy than that before radiotherapy(P<0.05).The incidence of acute mucosal side effects of grade 2 or above after radiotherapy was 56.7% and 23.3% in the clinical control group and the experimental group, respectively, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The incidence of bone marrow suppression was 86.7% and 50%,respectively.The results of EORTCQLQ-C30 scale in the experimental group after radiotherapy were significantly higher than those in the control group, with significant statistical difference(P<0.05).After radiotherapy, the total duration of treatment in the control group was43.57±2.76 days, while that in the experimental group was 41.97±2.59 days. The duration of treatment after radiotherapy in the experimental group was generally reduced, and the overall difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The incidence of malnutrition in elderly patients with esophageal cancer is high;2.MDT nutrition management in the whole course can reduce hematological toxicity caused by radiotherapy in patients with esophageal cancer, reduce the incidence of adverse reactions and improve the quality of life to a greater extent;3.MDT nutrition management can MDT nutrition management dynamically monitored protein indexes in the whole course of disease, which improved the nutritional status of patients to a greater extent, reduced the total treatment time.
