A Preliminary Study On The Establishment Of Stereopsis In Patients After Strabismus Surgery

Objective:To investigate the factors influencing the establishment of stereoscopic vision in patients after successful strabismus surgery.Methods:A retrospective analysis of 56 patients who had undergone strabismus surgery for comitant strabismus from September 2017 to October 2019 in our hospital,and recorded the age of strabismus onset,the course of strabismus,postoperative ocular deviation,strabismus type and other information,and then collected their distance stereoacuity and near stereoacuity before the surgery,or 1 week,1 month,3 months,6 months following the surgery,and then used Generalized Estimating Equations(GEEs)to analyze the correlation between the age of onset,course of strabismus,the ocular deviation and the establishment of the reconstruction of distance stereoacuity and near stereoacuity.Results : In near stereoacuity,the age of onset,postoperative eye position is closely related to the establishment of near stereoacuity(P<0.05);in distance stereoacuity,ocular deviation is closely related to the establishment of distance stereoacuity(P<0.05).During the 6 months offollow-up,the relationship between stereopsis reconstruction and the type and course of strabismus is not obvious(P>0.05).Conclusion:The establishment of postoperative near stereoacuity is related to the age of onset and postoperative ocular deviation.The early age of onset is not conducive to the establishment of postoperative strabismus.Completely upright postoperative ocular deviation is more conducive to the establishment of stereopsis than residual micro strabismus function.The establishment of postoperative distance stereoacuity is related to the postoperative ocular deviation.Even extremely small strabismus can have an effect on postoperative stereoscopic vision.The relationship between the reconstruction of stereoscopic vision function,the type of strabismus,and the course of strabismus was not obvious during the 6-month follow-up.
