Research On The Theory And Practice Of Balint Group

The Balint group is a case discussion group focusing on the doctor-patient relationship.It is based on the system theory,object relation theory,psychoanalysis theory,Satir family therapy and Moreno psycho drama technique.It is widely used in various fields such as clinical work,medical education,college education and community work,to improve interpersonal relationships such as doctor-patient relationship,improve communication skills,relieve job burnout and job stress,reduce negative moods,change coping styles and so on.This article will introduce the theory and processes of Balint group,summarize its application in China and other countries,objectively evaluate current deficiencies and propose prospects in the future.Also report the Balint group work in our hospital,and a case that uses Balint group's model to intervene in adolescents with depression,which makes an exploratory experiment to expand the application of Balint group in a new field.
