Objective: To explore the feasibility of minimally-invasive therapy for Jakob types Ⅱ lateral humeral condyle fractures in children by the guidance of ultraphonic. Methods: Retrospectively analyze the clinical data of 59 patients with Jakob types Ⅱ lateral humeral condyle fractures admitted to the second Orthopedic Department of Children’s Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from August 2016 to August 2017,34 patients who underwent open reduction plus Kirschner wires internal fixation, checked by the C-arm X-ray during the operations were included in the control group,25 patients who underwent closed reduction plus Kirschner wires internal fixation, checked by the ultraphonic during the operations were included in the study group. The good efficacy rate of elbow joint function, operation time, bleeding, fracture healing time, incidence of wound infection,re-displacement,malunion were compared between the two groups.Theelbow joint function was evaluated by Brober and Morrey’s standard. Results: All the 59 patients were followed up for 17~31 months[(23.2±4.2)months ].The good efficacy rate of elbow joint function in the control group and study group were 97.1% vs 100%(P>0.05).Operation time, bleeding and fracture healing time in the control group and study group were(50.68±22.2)min vs(21.44±3.27)min(P<0.05),(6.12±3.78)ml vs(1.12±0.33)ml(P<0.05),(8.01±0.79)w vs(7.80±0.71)w(P>0.05).Complications of control group was obviously higher than that of study group(14.7% vs 0.00%,P < 0.05),there’s no child with wound infection or malunion in study group, only 2 cases of postoperative wire tail irritability, all recovered well after the wires were moved out. There are 3 cases with wound infection in control group, and 2 cases appeared malunion, which are the distal humerus lateral bone formations. Conclusion: The clinical curative effect and application value of minimally-invasive therapy for Jakob types Ⅱ lateral humeral condyle fractures in children by the guidance of ultraphonic are good,it can be a new therapeutic method.
