Research Progress Of Adult Humeral Lateral Condyle Fracture

Humerus lateral condyle fracture is rare in adults in clinical[1],and it can be characterized by comminuted fracture in head of the humerus and trochlea humeri.The incidence of this kind of fracture accounted for about 0.5%-1.0%of the elbow fracture.Since it is rarely reported and has no standard surgical methods and guidance,orthopedic surgeons often make diagnosis and give treatment through their own experiences.The recovery of elbow joint function varys due to doctor's clinical skill,and some problems such as bone nonunion may appear during the treatment.Along with the transportation development and the increase of traffic accidents,the incidence of adult humerus lateral condyle fracture is increasing.There are many postoperative complications of this kind of fracture [2],and because of the importance of elbow joint activities in our daily life,and the improvement of people's life quality,a better understanding of adult humerus lateral condyle fracture is imperative,which can help us reduce postoperative dysfunction due to iatrogenic causes.In this paper,the research progress about the mechanism,diagnosis,treatment,classification,complications,prevention of adult humerus lateral condyle fracture is summarized.
