Discussion On The Problems Of Maternal And Infant Health In The Border Area Of Shanxi,Chahar And Hebei From 1937 To1945

In traditional China,women,especially the majority of rural women,do not pay attention to their own health and infant health,resulting in the high prevalence and mortality of women and infants.After the outbreak of the Anti Japanese War,affected and restricted by various factors,the problem of maternal and infant health has become increasingly prominent,which has become an important problem facing the army and the people in the Anti Japanese base areas and needs to be solved.This paper focuses on the government of Jinchaji border area to explore the promotion of maternal and infant health work.In view of various problems existing in maternal and infant health,the government of Jincha Hebei border region promulgated and adjusted a series of laws and regulations,set up relevant institutions such as women's rescue,child care,schools,hospitals,and formed a relatively complete maternal and infant health system.Based on this,the border region government has carried out a lot of work,such as using the winter school campaign,anti superstition propaganda,symposiums and other forms to mobilize women to go out of their homes and improve their cultural level;using hospitals,nursing conferences and other organizations to carry out disease prevention and treatment;docking with midwives for transformation and training of new midwives.The development of maternal and infant health work in the border area of Shanxi,Chahar and Hebei has strongly impacted the traditional concept of childbearing.The new method of delivery has gradually entered the common people's home,which has significantly reduced the morbidity and mortality of women and infants.There are also some deficiencies in carrying out maternal and infant health work in the border areas,such as the uneven level of the midwives,the uneven development of various regions and so on.The development of maternal and infant health work in the border area of Shanxi,Chahar and Hebei is a miniature of the work of maternal and infant health in the base area,which shows the twists and turns and complexity of the work in wartime.
