Objective: To investigate the risk factors of persistent pulmonary hypertension(PPHN)in newborn with meconium aspiration syndrome(MAS).Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed for the clinical data of 182 neonates with MAS,which were admitted to the Department of Neonatology and pediatrics of children's Hospital Affiliated to Chongqing Medical University from January 2010 to December 2018,and univariate analyses were performed to explore the characteristics of infants like delivery mode, age, birth weight, premature rupture of membrane,APGAR scores, the first ABG(blood gas assay)made with admission, and other complications and prognosis in the two groups(82 cases associated with PPHN were set as the observation group and 100 cases without PPHN were set as the control group). Results : Between the two group,we observed that acidosis, diagnosis with pneumothorax were relate to MAS in infants association with PPHN.But no difference of delivery mode, age, birth weight, premature rupture of membrane, asphyxia, concurrent pneumothorax or cardiac failure were found in our study. Conclusions: Concurrent pneumothorax are independent risk factors for MAS in neonates with PPHN.Avoiding the occurrence of pneumothorax can vitally decrease the mortality and morbidity in MAS infants with PPHN.
