Objective:When people use electronic products such as mobile phones and computers, the upper body is often in a bad physical posture of protruding the head and neck, including a hunchback, and it will cause neck and shoulder pain and neck motor dysfunction for a long time, resulting in related muscles Occurrence of diseases of the skeletal system.Upper Crossed Syndrome(UCS)is a common musculoskeletal system disease caused by poor posture, and the number of affected patients is increasing and getting younger.McKenzie therapy,as an effective method for patients to perform self-treatment,mainly relieves pain and corrects abnormal postures through posture correction training. Its characteristics of quick effect, short course of treatment, and effective prevention of recurrence are widely praised in the field of rehabilitation. In this study,McKenzie therapy and massage therapy were used respectively to treat patients with Upper Crossed Syndrome, the changes in Visual Analogue Score(VAS),Neck Disability Index(NDI),Forward Head Angle(FHA)and Forward Shoulder Angle(FSA)and cervical range of motion before and after intervention were observed. To clarify the feasibility and effectiveness of McKenzie therapy for Upper Crossed Syndrome. At the same time,it provides a theoretical basis for McKenzie therapy in the prevention and treatment of Upper Crossed Syndrome. Methods:This research mainly uses experimental methods,40 college volunteers with Upper Cross Syndrome were recruited and randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group of 20 people each. The intervention experiment was carried out for six weeks,5 times a week, for 30 minutes each time. The experimental group received McKenzie therapy and the control group received traditional massage therapy. Before and after treatment, the VAS score,NDI score,FHA and FSA angle values, and cervical range of motion were measured in two groups of patients, and various evaluation indicators were compared and analyzed.Results:1.Patients in the control group before and after treatment had statistically significant differences in VAS scores,NDI scores, and cervical range of motion(p <0.01),and FHA and FSA angles had statistically significant differences(p <0.05);2.VAS scores,NDI scores,FHA and FSA angles and cervical range of motion in the experimental group before and after treatment showed statistically significant differences(p < 0.01);3.After treatment, the VAS scores,NDI scores, cervical range of motion, and FHA and FSA angles of the two groups were statistically significantly different(p <0.01);4.After treatment, there was no significant difference in VAS scores,NDI scores, cervical range of motion and FSA angles between the two groups(p > 0.05),there was significant difference in FHA angles in improving the number of patients(p < 0.01).Conclusion:1.McKenzie therapy and massage therapy have a good therapeutic effect on the relief of neck and shoulder pain, the correction of bad posture, the increase of the range of cervical joint motion and the improvement of cervical function in patients with Upper Crossed Syndrome;2.McKenzie therapy is more effective than massage therapy in alleviating neck and shoulder pain, correcting poor posture, increasing cervical joint mobility, and improving cervical function in patients with Upper Crossed Syndrome, and has certain advantages, especially in correcting bad posture. Therefore,McKenzie therapy as an efficient and convenient self-treatment method is worthy of being applied to the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with Upper Crossed Syndrome, and the treatment effect is significant and worthy of promotion.
